I have an air raid and I like it. I am wondering if I can get a little more blower whine out of the open style roto fab. Looks like they both have similar power gains. I would guess the open style would flow a little better and maybe have a little more noise? It the rotofab worth 550? What is your experience ?

Can’t speak to the v3 as I have a V2 but if your running the stock filter that came with the airraid I’d switch it to the green filter for your application and see if your happy. On the V2 the green filter gives you a much better sound

I have the rotofab big gulp, I think its worth it, but I tuned the car myself, you would also need a tune if you go to the rotofab, so probably not worth it unless you add some other bolt ons with the tune and intake

It would be the regular Roto fab not the big gulp since I am not tuned.

Reg roto will give you some high rpm scream from the blower. More noticeable with the windows down.

Rotofab (non big gulp)doesn't require a tune. If you go Big gulp you'll need a tune.

If you get the regular cai you don’t need a tune. Just the big gulp.

Thats great if you want to suck in hot engine air. I ended up going with a Rotofab and I really like it.

+1 for rotofab. Seems the roto is the go-to for most tuners and shops. Id think theres a reason for that or maybe it's as simple as it came out first, but have had mine on for 4 years now and it's been great and does sound better than stock airbox. Easy to recommend.
