Figured id make a seperate post about my car as its not really the run of the mill build and ive gone out of my way to work on making the car as fast as possible, with as few mods, and without losing any of what makes it a cadillac. Also wanted to help open peoples eyes in regards to the capabilities of the LT4 platform with a little work in the right areas.
When I first got the car my goal was to go 10s tune only, which as far as I know,I was the first and only to do so with a [email protected] mph
My next goal was to see how fast I could go with some basic bolt ons, no meth, no e85, no cooling mods, no fuel system upgrades, 100% stock fuel system, and a full weight car.
I wasnt sure if I could go 9s at first, but now that ive ran the car down the track a bunch, it looks easily achievable with the right tires/track prep. Currently my old MH racemasters are not cutting it and are too tall for the car.
So for the build, I ended up with :
-Ported LMP stock LT4 supercharger and a 2.175 griptech upper pulley
-103mm TB
-Rotofab Big Gulp Intake
For fuel it is running 93 octane + a heavy blend of boostane professional mix at the track, tuned by me
I ended up having a lot of issues hooking up, so I had to cut power in 1st gear to hook, but I did still manage a [email protected] mph with a 1.49 60 foot
After a few hot laps and getting air flow through the cooling system I was able to run a best 138.50 MPH 1/4 mile trap speed.
Obviously anyone that knows drag racing can see the car will go 9.8-9.9 with a good 60 foot and cooled off pass based on these figures. Im waiting patiently for my mickey thompsons that have been backordered for 6 months lol
Im extremely impressed with how quick the car is going with a stupid basic mod sheet. and doing it through 100% factory exhaust, cats, etc
