Overfilled the transmission by adding an extra 2 quarts of fluid, raised the rev limiter to 7000rpm, eased up on the torque management to allow for harder, more solid shifts, and went back to the track... had a much better result this time around. My tuner (Tom @ Izzy Performance in Gardena, California) told me to likely expect a faster ET while giving up a little bit of trap speed, which was the exact outcome.

Density Altitude was ZERO! 0' DA!

^^ This doesn't happen very often here in SoCal, so when I saw the weather forecast I knew I had to jump all over it. I was literally the only street car there with a flurry of Nitro and Alcohol cars, dragsters, and trailered big tire cars (thanks to all of them for the loads of extra prep and the extra rubber on the ground!)

Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California

1.260 60'
6.121 @ 111.17mph 1/8 mile
9.652 @ 139.10mph 1/4 mile

Lifted both front wheels after a perfect stage / launch, shifting was perfect (trans did not flare or delay at all)- and here we are. Finally achieved my goal!

Video Below:

Timeslip and a couple pictures of the run attached. I've never felt a launch so solid, and never expected to slingshot from a dig like that with the stock trans / stock torque converter. After absolutely dead hooking at the launchpad and experiencing the first flawless 1-2 shift ever in my wagon, I knew this run was going to be something special for me.

Thanks for looking guys!

Allen

Jeeeez! Very impressive! I've been to the Fontana strip a couple times, but it doesn't compare to the weather NC offered at sea level.
Does Tom @ Izzy Performance have a page? I think that'd be as local as I could go for tuning.

Congrats!
May want to rethink the extra trans fluid. The trans will foam it up, dropping line pressure causing slippage, and in a short time, be needing a new one.
Your tuner doesn't also happen to be a trans guy looking for job security does he?
Congrats!
One thing to keep in mind is the trans will foam the extra fluid, dropping line pressure and causing slippage. You'll be in for a rebuild before you know it when it blows and leaves you stranded...
