The 2G network that connects your vehicle to OnStar® will sunset in December 2022. Once the 2G network sunsets, the three-button OnStar interface in your vehicle will be deactivated. GM is actively working to evaluate options for vehicles impacted by the 2G network sunset. GM will notify you when a solution is available.
I know at one point I received an email for an OBD dongle that would be the replacement, but I think that program is on pause right now.
