I just ordered one last night and will put deposit down today. Going to be a long wait.
Jealous! I just watched Doug Demuro's review of it. I want one bad.
But I don't care what Unavowed says, I want a manual one.

Buddy was talking about him at work today, supposedly he ran a 10.9 @ 133 last time at the track.
Yeah, he hit a 10.94 at 133 bone stock. Right down to the stock tires.

He knows how to drive guys, just had to get a hang of the new car is all...

"What kind of ZR1 is fast, but not too fast?"
"Well, you could get a manual transmission..."
"Brilliant! I'll take it."
"But you'll get beat by bolt on Z06s"
"Don't care. Now i just need some billet taillight louvers and some Adams products and I'll be the cat's pajamas."

2025 ZR1 - Leaked Info
- Automatic... shifts for you!
- iValet... parks for you!
- iLaunch... launches for you!
- iVector... steers for you!
- i.25... does the entire 1/4 for you!

... can't wait...
To make a chain stronger, you remove the weakest link.

I think we can both agree that the goal determines the weakest link...

Achieving fastest 1/4 time for V (or other fast car)
Auto > Manual
(AWD > 2WD)

Engaging driving experience for street car, canyon driving, etc
Manual > Auto

Neither is better or worse...

PS. I commuted 3 hours in a Model 3 today... and removed myself using autonomous mode. So for commuting, I'm the weakest link. QED...

Oh I get it. Your opinion is the only valid opinion...and you don't know how to shift.

No. My opinion is I like to go fast and be comfortable. Automatics are faster than manuals on a drag strip and road course. And on my way to and from, in terrible traffic, they are better again. I get the romanticized thoughts of the perfect rev-matched heel-toe downshift while winding through beautiful scenic country roads that are completely free of traffic, cops, bicyclists and wildlife, but that isn't MY reality. If it is yours, more power to you. I only drove manuals from 16 years old (Conquest TSi) through my mid 30's (heads/cam/blown/Brembo'd/coilover'd C5). It was fun until it wasn't. If it's still fun for you, enjoy.

I've always liked those Conquest TSi 's.... the design, esp squared fender flairs, looked great.
