Does the cover / bezel on the rear speakers come off. from day 1 (8 years old) there is a piece of paper on the speaker.

Rear tray is one contiguous piece.

Remove rear seat bottom
Remove rear seat back
Maybe remove C pillar trim
Pull rear tray forward

I have take the front half of the car's interior apart just to get at one screw to remove the stupid half-moon arch over the gauge cluster. Personally, I think GM engineers do it on purpose. They probably have a contest for who can make something as complicated as possible without appear to just be doing it on purpose.
