I am looking for more information on the pick-up tube o-ring. I am seeing multiple o-ring options. I have purchased the Melling 1055 oil pump with a Green and Black o-ring. I just had my whole bottom rebuilt with forged parts, I’m really not looking to play the guessing game and want to know from you all your experiences and what is the correct o-ring.
As far as I’m concerned the green ring is the one I need to use.

Thank you

This may help, the tube is an important factor in making the correct selection. Also, if you are not using the same tube that was originally removed from your engine, make sure to test fit the tube, it MUST fit properly, and MUST be installed properly, this is a VERY critical part. If you are unsure, make sure to get some experienced help. I don't know your level of build experience, but it can't be emphasized enough, that proper tube installation is critical!
