Took a drive out from Los Angeles to Sacramento to hit the strip and visit some friends with my fiancé (what a trooper and cheerleader she became) haha.
Previous best runs were between 11.20 and 11.30 @126 mph with a 1.57 60' on my stock clutch. Well.... I blew the clutch a couple months ago and hauled it home on my friend's trailer .
Here were are with a new Centerforce DYAD clutch.
Took me a few attempts to get a clean run in ( I kept missing my 2-3 shift ). I installed a core shifter and realized I had to shift Straight UP on my 2-3 shift rather than moving right).
After four frustrating runs in the 11's while missing 3rd, I finally made a clean pass. Last pass of the day
1.662 60'
10.897 @ 130.52
DA 1900'
89 Degrees
I was purposely being conservative on the launch and shifting due to my prior experience with the stock clutch. Now that I have my method down, I'll be a little more aggressive next time out.
With a temperature of 89 degrees and a DA of 1900', I'm happy with my results . Drove her in, drove her out, landed in San Francisco for the night, and driving her home tomorrow.
Thanks to Trainman for letting me borrow his beautiful wheels and tires. Thanks a million, greatly appreciate your generosity in lending me your wheel setup, and sharing your knowledge and experience.
I know I could cut a couple tenths off, gain a few mph, drop my 60' to the 1.5xx range, and shift a little better. There's always next time
