So I have a weird noise I can't pinpoint on the V. I have had it looked at by a buddy and we both agree it is coming more from the top than the bottom. It only happens above 1900-2000rpms. The best description I can give to the noise is either card in bicycle spokes or one of those prize wheel spinners at the fair.

The springs were overdue for replacement so while it was apart we did that. The valve tops didn't show any overly concerning wear on them. Plugs now changed as well since springs were changed. No check engine lights beyond a bad o2 sensor. Have not data logged it all as I don't have an HPTuner and the shop that built it no longer exists.

The only thing left I can think or is either maybe chain guides or exhaust leak but seems weird that only above that rpm range and also not even every time. Although it happens more often than it doesn't when the engine is rev'd.

Most shops here are backlogged 4 months or more so trying to do some more digging into this but I have limited knowledge. The car has been my daily since I bought it. The engine has 60k miles on since it was built. Has been completely problem free since then.

Here are two videos of the noise it is making.

Taking a wild guess but what about the timing chain tensioner or maybe a lifter?

Timing chain is definitely one of my thoughts. We have already pulled the valve covers and replaced the springs. None of the valve tops show any excessive wear that would lead you to believe they are the issue.
Does it only make the noise when the engine is slowing down after revving it up?
From the best I can tell yes. To me it definitely seems to start right after the top of the rev.
