Hi I have a GM LSA/4l80 crate set up going in my 69 Camaro I'm thinking of using a 10" lower pulley with a stock upper. Here's a list of what changes I already made.

ZL1 lid with -12 fittings C&R heat exchanger with a Lingenfelter prepped Stewart EMP pump. VMax 90 mm TB. 4" cold air kit.

BTR stage 3 blower cam, spring and push rods.

1-7/8 coated ARH headers, Magnaflow 3" exhaust

CTS V fuel pump VaporWorx controller . Catch can,160 thermostat. NGK Ti7IX plugs

I'm want to use the 10 inch lower pulley, my question is, will I have to worry about the piston ring not being opened up or should I be safe? I'm way past pulling the engine and doing the rings I'll just move to a smaller pulley. Even though it would crush my dreams! lol This will be 99% spirited street driving? If you see something I'm using doesn't mix or won't work I appreciate the heads up

Thanks in advance!

Fine on the rings if your tune is good. You might look into a new cam, the LSA factory cam is grossly undersized for the potential, plus you’ll pickup some nice usable rpm to handle the gear ratios better in the 4L80.

If you really want to pick up power in the midrange, port the heads too.

The pulley ratio you choose, is directly related to how much cylinder fill you desire.
Cylinder fill is directly related to producing horsepower.

The higher the cylinder fill, the more horsepower you should make.

However, attempting to push too much air into the engine, using these Roots Blowers, will generate excessive heat, leading to self detonation, as well as catastrophic loss of ones engine.

Thanks for the reply. I have a BTR stage three PD cam kit in it. Any guess how I might make with this setup?
Thanks again
Not enough info on your signature line my friend…
Put your build in your signature line and possibly we can help.😊

Maybe the question should be;
much horsepower do you want to make?
