    Preventing Premature button wear?

Hello, I just picked up a 2004 V with 14k on it. Luckily, all the buttons and knobs are intact with no wear. I plan on driving this car a-lot but I am curious if there is any known way to prevent the quick wear. Other than to avoid man handling the buttons, are there any other tactics? Any other secrets in keeping interior's clean on V1's?

Try pulling the buttons and applying a few layers of clearcoat or wrapping them with clear 3M?

Considering you have 15 years of use on them, I would not think a few more years will wear them out.
