How does she feel? Mine seems to pull stronger.

I noticed the same when I had the SC replaced on my first V wagon...the Gray Whale. Seems a lot of people had poorly adjusted relief valves or something. Main issue was some weren't making full boost.

I feel the need to Dyno again. That was a fun day. Maybe I’m closer to 515 hp at the wheels. Also, I found a gas station with 93 and no E (I’m not flex), add some booster, and waste some tires.
From all my reading, I did not know you had a Gray Whale, Eric.

Just had my SC replaced, 50k miles. I don’t feel any difference in power, but it quieted down the rattle/knock on cold start. Took about half a day (and a dubious 9 miles worth of test driving).

The initial boost increase goes away once the SC breaks in, then back to normal.

Ugh been waiting on parts for over a month to have mine replaced. GM strike is holding up parts.

Sounds like the UAW vote is leaning towards rejecting GM’s offer and the UAW will strike both Ford and FCA.

I just had mine done. The dealer here in Connecticut was able to get a dealer in Texas that had about 20 in stock to send one up. Not sure how or why they did but at least there are some still on shelves

This morning, while sitting in line to get into work, I noticed the sound of my isolator (I sure hope that is what I was hearing) from inside the cabin, cutouts open as well. It sounded as though a ferocious rat was trying to escape a wooden box, somewhat of a scratch and tick all in one. The temperature was the coldest I have driven in with this car, ~25 degrees out.

I was quite surprised to hear this noise from inside the car.

The stealership agreed that the sound was originating from the S/C and have arranged to replace it. They gave me a XT5 as a loaner (not impressed) and I should have the V back in a few days.

I received the car back from the dealership on Saturday with a new shiny part installed. No more noise originating from the frontal engine compartment (for now). It seems as though the boost does come on a little earlier and rises ~0.5 - 1 psi higher but it could be the cool weather. I'm sure it'll be back to normal after the break in as Larry suggested. I also took a glimpse of the work order package that the clerk was processing, it had a grand total of $3,885 for parts, my estimates were considerably lower.

And so much for my swirl free paint correction (was half way completed) as there is new scratches where the fender covers were placed and along my passenger door. Nothing that a quick buff won't remove.
