Billet ZL1 lid water manifolds now available!

These water manifolds are intended for the LSA ZL1 lid to replace the factory piece. They feature 12ORB inlet/outlet connections and are machined from a solid piece of 6061, then they are anodized black for protection and aesthetics. These are a true 0.610" diameter all the way through in an almost straight shot to provide a little bump in flow capacity over the factory rough cast internal finish.

The price is $200 and they are available with 12AN to 12ORB adapters for an extra $24.

How does the height of these compare to the machined lids to clear the stock CTS-V hood?

looks nice, but what is exactly is being gained (besides "lil bump"). is there flow tests. Reynolds numbers, pressure tests; force/flow analysis. can you show the CFD data?

We didn’t do CFD or measure flow. These were designed and manufactured specifically to be less labor and consequently lower price for allowing the use of AN fittings on the water line connections instead of the factory push on barbs.

So if I was planning to send my ZL1 brick out and be reinforced with A/N fittings....then this would be used instead?

Dedicated Motorsports is now using these instead of modifying existing stock pieces. It eliminates cutting and welding the stock manifold.

Just a heads up and YMMV,

Iím running this combo in the 16an setup, and the fittings do not clear the OEM hoodóI had to massage the factory fuel line union to clear my full flow 90s which left them a bit clocked up. The clocking problem could very well be my hood closing issue.

I donít really care about the OEM hood fitment issues because I have an upgraded hood that has been sitting in a box for the past year that will easily clear the interference issues. In other words, motivation to install said hood, lol!

(Iím running a set of Aeroflow fittings so your mileage may vary.)

    Dave,

Please tell me this setup should clear the stock hood and Iíll go clearance the fuel elbow issues a bit more.

I plan on ordering one with -16orb and -16an fittings in the near future.

To be honest, I didn’t design these with full flow 16 in mind. Frankly, I am amazed two 16AN hose ends can even thread on without hitting each other. DMS tested these with 12AN to my knowledge and reported no fitment concerns.

The 16an fittings do interfere with each other (have not tested other brands) but you can technically force them to work if youíre creative.

This setup is a work of art compared to the OEM unit.

I was under the impression that this thing was gonna be the for sure way to run 1 inch line for the whole car just about.

I got mine today but haven't installed them, looks incredible but im shocked you can get -16 fittings on them haha. (after looking at that it appears the only way to do that would be to install the ORB fitting into the lid and the elbow fitting at the same time and making sure they both are tight at the same time as the elbow fitting it self wont rotate with the other fitting in place.)

Look to get mine mounted tomorrow

I didnt get the nice thumb screws seen above to mount the billet unit on the lid, but im not sure if people are sourcing their own screws for that or not.

    I don’t include new fasteners.

I would imagine the 16AN lines would fit better if one ran to the driver side and one to the passenger side. I can make 12ORB to 16AN fittings with a hex that will allow them to thread in without interference, but it doesn’t solve the hose end side of things. Spacing them further apart on the manifold itself wasn’t possible due to minimum wall thickness concerns.

Nice. I had the DMS manifold on my V lid and it was a very nice piece.

Letís be honest the difference between -12 to -16 would be marginal at best.

Is it worth the headache and extra $$
