Question Gas prices - What are YOU paying?

I'm far from the best on pricing but certainly not the worst. I'm just glad I finally have a couple stations that pump 93, although I only fill up with e85. And it's just down the street from work. So I have an e85 station about 2 miles from home and now an e85 station (and 93) less than a mile from work. I use 1/4 of a tank driving to work and back home so I see these stations quite often. Luckily they're convenient.

So with E, your paying "less" but doing it more often because of the fuel economy, so don't you actually spend "more"?

Pretty much. There are places that actually have great prices for the corn so you could probably break even or maybe even come out ahead. Kansas isn't one of them.

Caveat, as you can see with the 91 and 93, is the ethanol content. Explains the weird prices. I'm kind of curious to see how the 93 with 30% blend will perform and what the actual e% is.

My gauge is reading 76% for the e85 which is pretty standard around here for the summer blend.

I just paid $2.50 for 93 octane yesterday, it was crazy! That was as low as i have seen in a while. Seems like a few months ago I paid $3.60+ per gallon.

Yeah it gets everybody. I wonder how many people pull up and think "Ah sweet, 93 octane for my hi performance (non-flex fuel) car!".

There are a few stations locally that have ethanol free gas but it's mostly 87 octane. Only a very-very small handful of 91 octane ethanol free gas stations (can count on one hand - same with e-85). I just lucked out on placement otherwise I probably wouldn't be running e85, at least not religiously.

It was at Costco. Regular was like $2.20. So cheap.

I'm in Vancouver for a couple of days and 93 at Esso is $1.75/litre, which roughly converts to $4.57US/gal.

Try driving around with Matt's 2.5 and letting it eat all of the time and see how much you would spend weekly. lol

Yup, never seen E content higher than 10% for regular gas. Ethanol free around here in Tampa is only 87.

Local fuel station is 1.65 for premium.

    Of course. That's in Euro's.

    And per liter.

    So about 6.87$/gallon.

OK, I wasn't able to see the picture while at work. If someone is not setup for flex, what would you get in that situation? 91?

Just for curiosity sake...can our stock Vs operate effectively on 89? Just popped into my head about "what if" it was hard to find 91 or 93? I saw posts related to being hard to find E around LS Fest in KY. I don't know what the status was on premium gas was.

You can run 87, 89 in a pinch. It'll just pull timing to protect itself.
