+1. Interested where the filter sits once installed, as I have a side swipe and don't like the lower duct location personally.

ETA: choice of couplers? I have an LS7 TB with no immediate plans for a 102mm.

Found this when googling. Trying to compare this to the Dynospeed intake relative to MAF sensor location (and filter location).

Is this made of aluminum of steel? I currently have a New Era 4' but since its steel the pipe itself retains a lot of heat.

My exact question before purchasing. It's aluminum and it fits really good with the stock filter cover housing. I just need to get an Outerwear filter cover when I get caught in the rain.

Random, I was discussing this with my friend Mr. GoodCad. In my opinion directing any outside cooler air into this area with the Sideswipe is beneficial. Even if the filter is situated lower down in the pocket, cooler air will keep the intake tube cooler.

Installed the Fasterproms 4.5" intake about 3-months ago. Definite improvement from the 4" intake I previously had.

You can probably make it work. You can also use the stock airbox.

I have the stock airbox and was wondering how to make the cover work...I guess I have to look at it closer!

I can say that I have this intake and it works great! It looks great too and it is so obvious how it only takes the cold air in and the hot engine air is blocked off completely! Unfortunately, I did not do the install so I can't elaborate on that, sorry.

I just ran 10.49 with my minimal mods and Jeremy is the reason for this car running so well!!!

305lb driver...run it like I drive it every time I use it...pump E85, stock factory rims, MT ET street drag rad's and nothing removed for weight!

-New shit- A6 2.55/8.6 ID850's, stock exhaust & mani's with hollowed cats, stock heat X, NO porting of any kind, 4.5" intake (green filter), 160 stat, flex fuel sensor, ZL1 lid, Formato tuned! Dyno'd on drag radials NTO5's, E85, (actually E70) and hot humid weather - 624/640 (obviously more power than dyno said) Dyno means little...look at track times!!!

Previous ET 10.49...Best MPH 133.6 (average 132.5mph) Best 1/8 105.14mph. Minimal mods and my fat ass (6'5" 305lbs) NO porting of any kind, NO headers, stock exhaust and mufflers, NO aftermarket heat X, STOCK cam and heads! I only have what is listed above!

-NEW NEW shit...Formato heads, BT3 cam, Formato ice tank, Formato tuned, varimax pump, ported everything...even the driver! 2.31/8.66 combo, stainless works headers...! I am sure I am forgetting something but you get the idea! Made 747whp/730wtq on E85 (actually E72) on MT drag radials.

Best to date [email protected] 1.51 60' spinning the tire on the rim about 5-6" unfortunately after about 8 passes. Stock 19s w/ MT SS, fuel was E68, no weight removed as in NOTHING and my now 'less fat' ass 275lb driver lol, no different track tuning, NO ICE!!!...As always, I run the car the same exact way that it runs in the street every time I use it!

Best MPH 1/8 was 112.77mph best 1/4 was almost 140...139.79mph...trying to get one more runs in this year and get 9s on 19s and 140mph pass!

Anyone know if the coupler that comes with the kit fits a 102 TB? if not, where can I get one?
