Too mutch stretch with Bridgestone PS04 285/30-20.

I just had these had these tires installed today on my new wheels and there is way too much stretch for my liking. My wheels are 20x10.5. I screwed up and ordered them sight unseen on sale so there is no returns. Don't people run 285's on 10.5 wheels all the time?

Wow! Some people actually go for that look. I have 295 on 10.5 inch rim and they fit like the stock tires onn stock rims. Can't believe the 10 less mm you have make that much difference. Fwiw I requested 285 rears when I bought my wheels and they gave me 295s.

Man can't believe that's a 285, I have heard tire width can vary by manufacture but damn that is extreme.

Order new (wider 305s) and take those off before they get too many miles to sell them

do your wheels stick out too?

Wheel fitment is actually spot on for my taste. That pic makes it look like it's outside the fender but it is just flush with it. Here's some pics. Sorry it was getting late and rainy.

Save those for future front tires. Different mfg have different true widths on tires.

Yeah, 285 is WAAAYYY too narrow for a 10.5 rim. I'm shocked the tire shop even left those on the wheel like that.

    +1

It's like walking out of the ER with a bone poking out, blood gushing and telling your parents "they said it was fine!

Not good. I'm actually a little nauseated from OP's photo and seeing that horribly exposed wheel edge just itching for a curb!

Yeah. They didn't stock them. They ordered them and they were on sale. As soon as they mounted them I told them that wasn't gonna work for me. He said I'm SOL and informed me there wasn't any returns with these. This was before the tires/wheels had even been put on the car. I was extremely disappointed.

So is a 295 better suited for a 10.5" wheel or do I need to go 305? I'm sure there's plenty of threads on this. I'll do my research. I just don't think I can run a 305 on my sedan with eibach's.

Not the best pics but here is 10.5 inch rear with 295 tire lowered with eibachs. The tire sticks out past the rim on these just like stock tires on stock rims.

Wow might be the worst tire shop ever right there.

I'd play it safe and stay with 295. I had 305's on my aggressive offset that did not fit so went with 295 Michelin's
