Hello, so my 2010 ctsv (auto) will randomly turn the stabilitrak on and off by itself and ding at me. It does it only on long drives (more than 50 miles at a time). It isn't always consistent, but more often than not. It will do this for about 10-15 minutes and then will typically stop. I have no idea why, guessing some sensor is loose or something, but it will come in and out and ding at me everytime it does. I have tried turning off the stabilitrak but that doesn't work, tried turning the car off and on and that doesn't work either. Only thing that stops is it will just stop itself. Any ideas? I tried searching but didn't really find anything quite the same issue.
Check the chassis ground under the air intake (aka the airaid to chassis bolt) and clean the threads / surfaces and add a little dialectic grease.
If that doesn't work make sure the magnetic shock pigtails are fully seated and clean.
Next most likely is you need an alignment! Check tire wear - if the lower control arms have shifted or loosened it will give you weird stabilitrak errors depending on the amount of movement.
Last step is to make sure your ride height sensors are snug and pigtails secure.
Ok, I bet it is the ground that you speak of seeing how it is intermittent. As far as an alignment, I just had the front aligned last fall so that should be good. I will double check the rest of the connectors.
Thanks!
