    Key Not Detected

I've read a few threads on this but, can't seem to remedy my issue.

I went to open my car this morning and the door wouldn't open. So, I figured the battery in the fob was dead. I grabbed the other fob and it wouldn't open the car either.

I then replaced the batteries in both remotes and that hasn't fixed the problem. I learned about the slot in the center console while searching ... that works.

    Any suggestions?

Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes didn't seem to help.

Probably not the fix you need but I've noticed if the fob is in the same pocket as my phone, I get that message on the DIC sometimes.

It won't unlock the car with the key in my hand. None of the buttons work on either key fob. It just seems weird that it happened all of the sudden.

My fob went bad. Guy at the dealership said it was not uncommon.

I just tried the spare key and it works now. I replaced the battery in it earlier but, it wouldn't open the door. I reset the car battery and didn't think to try it. So I guess I have a bad key fob ... one working key is better than no working key.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Mine has been acting dumb too....the only button that will work is the trunk pop and then all of a sudden the other keys work. Also that the lock lamp lit up on the dash...dunno what that means.

Means your car is going to blow up. Better D-Mod and send me your parts before it's too late

I have found that my buttons get pushed while in my pocket with other things. Sometimes my trunk pops, sometimes I think they are constantly pressed because my batteries wear out very quickly. I dont even wear skinny jeans
