    Sudden Electrical Issues

So the Saturday before last I was out on a car cruise and out of no where I get a service airbag warning for a few seconds then it goes away. I figured it was a one time occurrence and kept driving. About 5 minutes later I'm slowing down after a run with a charger super bee and it does it again, but this time the tach and speedo go flat. I stop at our usual meeting spot and check for any obvious issues like a wire on the headers and see nothing. It happens a third time that night while I'm leaving. Since then it gotten progressively worse. Now it'll start turning everything on my dash off like AC controls and nav screen retracts. It also pops up device airbag, suspension, AC, and abs. Gauges go flat but car runs perfectly and never misses beat. Cadillac can't get it in till next Tuesday. Any idea where to start in the mean time? Video of the car on my way to cadillac on Saturday.

its got to be a plug in the harness somewhere that isn't seated good.

I had my airbag light come on, and somehow thought to check the plug under the front of the driver seat and pushed it in good, and it went away and hasn't been back

Same here. I have weather tech floor mats and because my wife sits so close to the wheel the mat was pushing on the plugs under the seat when she drove. Def check under the drivers seat.

I cut the lip off the part of the Matt closest to the seat. That seems to have done the trick while still keeping the "tray" part of the mat. Probably cut 1/4" off

I have had the airbag light come on on my regular CTS. Like the others, I started messing with wires under the driver seat and everything was fine. I had my OEM floor mats, too.

Yep this has started happing to me randomly. I unplugged the connectors under the seats cleaned them and put some grease in there. It has came back once, I still have to check the grounds. If it comes back again I'll have to dig into it more.

That's a perfect place to start for me. My girlfriend sits pretty damn close to the wheel and I have weather tech mats too. What a coincidence. I'll check it when I get home.

Lol. It seems like 1/4" creates a lot of problems in these cars.

So I checked under the driver seat last night when I got home. I noticed one wire under there that seemed a bit loose. I pushed the connector back together and took it for a drive. Didn't have anything happen but that was only on a 15 minute drive. Will drive it to work on Saturday and see what she does.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but........ Any update on this? Did messing under the seat fix it? My situation: All gauges die, service airbag and service suspension cycle on and off along with gauges, radio goes on and off too.
