    dang the noise

I've put over 40k miles on my car over that past two years I've had her. its always had some slight growl at sharp turns with a cold diff. its always went away after warmed up. lately it has been getting worse so I decided to do a lube change. I went with royal purple 75w90 with additive since its the best I could find locally. that was 4 days ago so 400 miles roughly. today leaving to get some lunch it was very loud and rough feeling.

i ordered the ac delco additive as soon as i got back in from lunch. my plan is to add some and see where we are after that. does anybody see an issue using it with the RP fluid that supposedly already has an additive? maybe next will be to step up to 75w140 fluid?

You should be ok with adding it.

I've had no issue with Redline fluid in any of my vehicles.
Royal purple seems to have a few for some reason.

Try after the diff and fluid is warmed up going in circles in a parking lot. Do maybe 10-15 one way and then the other direction to help get the fluid worked into the clutches. I had to do that all the time with Vettes and AWD minivans that had whining rear diffs, had to go in circles until dizzy and then keep going lol.

the additive seemed to do the trick. i have just a slight noise that i wouldn't notice if i knew nothing of these issues.
