    DFW area chat thread

I didn't see one of these threads for our area. Figured I'd try this to see if I can force myself to be more social with new people. Haha. I've been meaning to get out to meet more of you guys. I'm at the Coit meet almost every week and I'm planning on attending the V Club dyno day coming up on the 20th. I've got a `10 Crystal Red sedan with the usual Stage 1 stuff but nothing crazy. Planning on adding a cam/lower for Christmas.

That's because we just take over the newbie introduction threads.

I'm in the same boat. I'm live in Fort Worth and need to start getting out more as well.. I work late during the week and on Saturday, so Sunday is my only day for meets. Want to go the the Coit meet, but it is an hour each way for me. If you know of anything in Fort Worth, let me know

The next V Club meeting (after the dyno day at 21st CMC on 9/20) is at Hard 8 in Roanoke on Sunday 10/5 at 6pm. Please be sure to RSVP on the club site (www.texasvclub.com) if you intend to go.

Sorry, I can't help ya on the Ft.Worth side of town. I avoid Ft.Worth at all costs.

Coit is a good meet, but I'm a lil biased on that one.

C&C Ft Worth is thin weekend I think, but of course that s Saturday and you work. There's also those C&C meets at TMS but again, Saturdays... Ft Worth on a Sunday is about all you're left with man and now that's football day!

LOL, I know, a Texan not into football is odd. I've tried to get into it, but it's SO boring. I don't understand people who are rabidly, blindly loyal to a team (example : Cowboy fans) who doesn't give two shits about anything other than making money. Even the players aren't loyal to their own teams, it's whoever pays the most. The people who really crack me up the ones who refer to the team as "we" as if they are on the team.

Football season brings cooler temps and another reason to drink. That is pretty much all that football means to me

I lose interest in the game because it takes 3 hours to play 60 minutes, and you get rewarded for going out of bounds

I'm planning on doing stage one/stage two around Christmas time with bonus money. I didn't see another red v at the meet two weeks ago.

No sir, but that has been a dream project of mine for a while. I have some friends that I'm almost certain would have to know you. They're die hard mustang guru's that made the coit meet religiously back when it first started. My first time to go was actually 2 weeks ago. I was kind of impressed. I've been to a lot of parking lot meets where the turnout is either weak or the quality of car is just garbage. I have nothing against the import guys, but I'm tired of every kid with a civic showing up with neon lighting and fart can exhaust. This wasn't like that. It had a little bit of everything and for the most part the cars were respectable.

Ah. Well you can ask any of the long time regulars out there about me confronting the asshats in the parking lot over the years. I havent had to do much of it the last few years because the meet has a well known zero tolerance for nonsense. Most times the meet polices itself now with the regulars jumping their shit before i get the chance. I had to jump some kids ass last month cuz he was doing donuts in the parking lot amd barely missed a beautiful ZL1 by a few feet. He was barely out of the car before I was in his face about it. Usually with the kis, if you holler at them in front of everyone they get embarrassed and never come back. Before that I hadnt said anything to anyone for about a year.
