    cam and pulley set up.

I currently have a 2.4 upper and plan to do a cam and lower pulley.

From what I gathered on the forum I need a 8.6 lower as a 9.1 will be to much unless I run E85 all the time which I will not be.
I DD the car and will only be filling up E85 on the weekends or nights out in Mexico.

    Is this correct?
Also is there an off the shelf cam that works? I don't want the LS9 cam because if I am going through the hassle of cam install I expect to hear it.
My expectations of the cam in order are:
    1. sound - should sound like a 108 lsa lol I want it to sound like a BBC Cam
    2. drive-ability
    3. power

and last does anyone have sound clips of any cam they are going to suggest.

My 02 TA has a rear mount turbo that Tick spec'ed out and it made huge power for the boost I was running but it sounded almost stock.

    Current mods are:
    2.4 upper with 100mm idler
    ported snout
    stock ported throttle body
    4.5" dynospeed intake
    flex fuel kit
    BB catback
    ZL1 lid with -10 an's
    and
83lb injectors which are maxed out. I'll be upgrading to 1000-1300's during this build.

Currently the car made 557/563 on 93 and 615/613 on e85

Subd for knowledge. In same boat, though I'm in it for power, drivability, then sound. I plan on doing heads and headers as well, though.

Are you m6 or a6? That'll will have some play on drivability and cam selection.

You need more fuel pump to run more E.

You can run a 2.4/9.1 with aggressive cooling when not on E...although the preferred ratios for safety are 2.4/8.6 or 2.5/9.1.

I will be installing a LT1Z stg 2.5 on my 6spd car with cnc'd heads and a 2.5/9.1 combo. Seems to be the sweet spot for a good reliable package...

    As of June 2016 - 720 hp & 659tq - Track Times TBD

I only have two stations in my area and even those are 30min each way for me. So a pure E car isn't an option.
If I go crazy with heads and engine work I'll modify the fuel system. At my power level the stock system is still fine.

    I am A6.
I'll check out stg 3 cam from btr or lt1z

    Thanks

My point was with a more aggressive setup...i.e. cam and lower...you will not have enough pump to even support your current level of ethanol...if you are maxed at 616whp on E right now...a larger injector isn't gonna do you a lot of favors...a typical 85lb is plenty if you have the fuel flow to support It.

Subscribing for knowledge. Looking for a similar build, though without the ethanol.
