    anyone running skinnies at the 1/2 mile?

    curious how many people are running skinnies at the half mile? any problems with braking?

    I'm curious as well. More than braking issues, I'd wonder how stable they are once you start seeing 160+ mph for extended periods of time...

    2004 CTS-V:

    Turbo'd (current): 9.25 @ 154.46 1.49 60' / Best Trap 155.47 / Best 60' 1.43
    325ci, Borg S400, E85, Creative Steel 8.8 IRS Rear End, 6spd T-56.

    Supercharged(old): 9.98 @ 145.86mph. 1.6x 60' Best Trap: 146.99mph
    LS7, 2.9 Whipple 15psi, E85, CS/Ford 8.8 IRS Rear end, 6-spd T-56.

    I run the Slipstream events, and it is not the best option. we do allow a few people to run them, but only if we know their experience. Sal and his viper, a 800hp supra, and i dont know the HP, but the white V wagon from Horsepower Solutions run skinnies. I believe John with the Vengeance Camaro runs them as well.

    I run a compromise. Use a 7" wheel with a 225 PSS which saves weight and rolling resistance but doesnt compromise handling much if you get loose
