NEw V Wagon MT owner - FINALLY

    Hello Everyone!

    I've been looking for a M6 V Wagon for approx. 8 months.
Almost closed on a 2012 in NC in the Fall of 2016, but got into a bidding war with his neighbor.
Also was considering automatics, but I'm glad I waited.... found a low mile 2014, at a decent price (under $50k).
Will have to have it shipped to GA from the Northeast, so pictures are a week+ away.

Yes, can't wait until it gets down here. It's phantom grey, with recaros and ultraview, (must have options for me in addition to the manual) and under 30k miles.
Will reviewing the forums and asking lots of Q's about interior/exterior and performance mods.

Once I take delivery we should meet at one of the Sat drive in car shows (e.g. cars-n-coffee). There's usually something like that in North Metro ATL at least once or twice per month.
Used to go to them all the time when my 57 Thunderbird was on the road (it's in the garage awaiting time to finish the restomod right now).
I remember seeing a grey Vwagon at a big one at perimeter mall over a year ago. I think he had done the 650-700 hp mods.
The wagon was getting more attention than the new lambos, mustangs and Camaros. That sealed the deal for me...

Yes, agree with Larry and Douggo Talked with previous owner at length over the weekend, so now I know the complete history of the wagon.
Given what I've learned, I'm still good with $48k and some change; especially when I see manual 2012s with more miles selling at $49-51k, and advertised for more.
The manuals are too rare to let one with the right color, options and still under warranty get away. As I said, been looking for almost a year.

FYI - Great forum, unbelievable how much valuable information is shared by this group. Very happy to finally contribute.
Just awaiting some paperwork, but dealer is incented to close by end of month, should have it in my driveway a week or so after.

57, what daily driver are you coming from? 6MT Vagon here, too. You're going to love the the conversation you're going to have over and over again as long as you own this fine ride. Many 'car guys' don't know about this car, the wagon makes it even more of sleeper . . .
    .. "What do you drive?"
.. "a station wagon" (I always lead with this oddity.)
    .. "oh, a Subaru?"
.. "No, its a Cadillac." (the younger you are, the better this plays)
    .. "Cadillac makes a wagon?"
.. "It was a limited run. It's not a normal Cadillac. It has a stick shift."
.. "Wait, you drive a Cadillac. It's a station wagon. And it has a stick. Is that what you just said???"
.. "Yes, and I left out the best part. It makes over 550hp."
At this point, people are speechless and you can probably charge them viewing admission. Enjoy it!

I had a 05 SRX with the N*, put 150k miles on it. Great vehicle. Bought it specifically because it was a fast 7 seater, and loved the look, plus the utraview sunroof.
    Trying to attach picture below....

Just sold her when I locked the deal on the CTSV.

Did get to drive it a little yesterday, WOW! - could not stop smiling, even in traffic. My own personal rocket ship. Will start the speeding ticket (and gas) fund immediately.
Amen on the rain, no room in the garage and my car cover has not arrived in the mail yet, not good.

First order of business this weekend is to get rid of that front license plate holder.

Agreed that plate holder has got to go. Amen on the ticket and gas fund. These things get to triple digits in a big hurry but sure do burn a ton of fuel to get there. Personally cant wait to go E85 and experience the joy of single digit MPG...

Congratulations on your new ride! I'm certainly no expert but it seems there has been a recent increase in Vagons changing garages...
I'm still looking for that right 6MT sedan! Enjoy!!

Got the front license place holder off yesterday, big improvement, except for the holes left behind.
Will be looking for something to fix that over the next few days. Already on my 2nd tank of gas, LOL.
