Hey everyone, I figured it was time I make a build thread, if for no other reason than to collect my thoughts and as a reference for the curious (I love browsing build threads to get an insight to different builds/combos). Much of this thread will be based on the F/S thread and my intro thread, until I can get the car back together and clean her up for the coming warm weather season.
For starters, I bought the car from former member Selvar on 10/18/2016 with ~73k on the odo (F/S Thread). Chris is a real swell guy and did everything he could to smooth out the purchase between myself and Chevrolet of Bellevue, whom he was trading the car in to for a new Duramax. His representation of the car was spot on, ZERO surprises. I wanted to buy a black/sedan/recaro's/ultraview/A6 car with the typical pullied/HX/ZL1 lid/injectors mods already done, and the fact Chris had already eaten the premiums for parts and labor was a big plus for me. Perfect stage for DD use and a few personal tweaks without compromising reliability, in my opinion.
Cliffnotes as purchased:
Uncorrected Dyno:
SAE Corrected:
So, I flew out near Seattle, WA to meet Selvar and bought the car. We left Seattle around 5pm local time on 10/18 and made it back to MI on 10/21 around 7am local time (losing 3hrs on the way back was a bitch). ~2400 miles in roughly 59 hours, if my math is correct. Along with breathtaking mountain passes and scenic vistas, I experienced the Space Needle, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse carving in progress and 6 states I've never set foot in before- I think that puts me around 40 out of the 50 states in the Union
My personal phone took a shit not long after getting home, so a lot of photos are stuck in there (LCD even broke so I can't unlock the phone to transfer media & information off of it, working on that still). Until then, I can only provide the small tapatalk uploads from the other thread.
