"Over the Hump" Rear Floor Mat?

My 5YO sits in the middle of the back seat, and has filthy playground shoes when I take him to school. I like my berber Lloyd's mats, but thinking of giving them up in the backseat if I can find any mats that cover the tunnel.

I've seen Weathertech mats on other vehicles that do this, but they don't have any for the V2 wagon/sedan.

Anybody have any ideas short of the cushy padded diamond-stitched pimpmats running around this forum?
    Thanks LA!

What about cleaning his shoes also you could do a small sheet or towel or something for temporary use.

Buy an outdoor door mat and cut to size.

He's 5. At recess he jumps in every mud puddle in sight and fills his shoes in the sandbox every day. There's no keeping them clean.
    Thanks LA!

A cut up floor mat - if thin enough to "drape" may work. Towel may, too.
    Thanks LA!

That sure looks like a set of cushy padded diamond-stitched pimpmats!
